G&T INTERNSHIPS

G&T offers a range of internship opportunities including summer placements and year out industry placements to suit the different stages of your career journey.

G&T Internships

For those who are already studying or thinking about a career in construction, an internship offers you the chance to see what the day job is actually like and put the theory you are learning into practice.

Summer internships are a great opportunity if you are considering a career in property & construction to get some experience and an all-round appreciation for the industry and profession. Summer internships typically last for a period of two to three months. Our internships will offer you the chance to get involved with a team of qualified surveyors, project managers, infrastructure specialists and consultants, participating in real work and projects and gaining experience of life at G&T.

For individuals studying a sandwich degree on a construction- related course, we offer you the opportunity to join us for your 12-month placement year.

You will be given the same responsibilities and will work on the same types of projects as our graduates. You will also join our Year 1 cohort of the Chartership Academy and will become a student member of the RICS.

We hope that you will develop key interpersonal skills around communication, planning and organisation as well as relishing in the opportunity to apply your learned theoretical knowledge.

We will keep in touch with you during your final years of university and we hope to be able to offer you a graduate role once you have successfully completed your studies. When you rejoin us, we will support you through the Chartership Academy to gain your professional qualification in the shortest possible timeframe.
“As a placement experience I don’t think you can get much better than at G&T. The support I have been given throughout has enabled me to take on jobs that I would not have felt confident doing before. During my year placement I was able to span my time across various projects enabling me to both enhance my knowledge for university as well as work towards my Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). ”
